Choosing cover imagery for the Spring and Fall editions of Workbook is one of the best jobs we have all year. We begin by scouring the site for cover-worthy contenders. We look for photographic and illustrated images that not only compliment one another, but also stand on their individual strengths. Most importantly, we look for imagery that represents the depth and the level of talent we represent here at Workbook.
Amy Ning’s strong sense of design shines through her illustrations and is a direct result of her Japanese-American heritage. Cade Martin is versatile and sometimes conceptual photographer, which is evident in the image chosen for the Photography volume. Thanks to both Amy and Cade for allowing us to reproduce their beautiful imagery!
