Giulio Bonasera’s Musical Take

Posted on

In his latest personal project, Giulio Bonasera created a set of visual metaphors by utilizing the notations of man’s highest form of expression: the language of music. He’s telling us we can choose to experience the cacophony around us as noise or music, an annoyance or an inspiration.  As an artist, he chose inspiration. His latest series of “musical notations” remind each of us, as Groucho Marks says, “I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.“ – Groucho Marx

Look for images from this series to appear in the upcoming Society of Illustrators show and show book.
