New York Photographer Jordan Rathkopf has been telling the stories of women who are battling breast cancer, including his own wife Anna. It was a devasting diagnosis, but as photographers they were determined to document every detail of the journey, holding nothing back. This meant capturing the treatments and their life at home including interactions with their two-year-old son Jesse. You can learn about their story from both Good Morning America and Metro Co UK.
They also have a photo/video campaign that launched this month with Susan G. Komen Foundation (the largest breast cancer awareness organization) for breast cancer awareness month. The campaign is focused on race and health equity and is called Stand for H.E.R. In the video they documented the experience of Se’Nita Harris, a 37-year-old African American woman living in NYC.
