Photographer/Director Amy Mikler has always said the best shoots are ones requiring board shorts, so a test shoot by the pool capturing that carefree summer vibe was bound to happen one way or another.
Amy drew inspiration from her love of summer and the feeling of its arrival, while creating a humorous story of a mom serenely floating in a pool interrupted by her kids’ unbridled joy. Brimming with freedom, fun and sun, Amy used drone, motion and stills to bottle up moments that felt unscripted and vibrant. Using colorful tubes, directing kids in actions they loved, Amy captured the glow and joy of childhood summers.
