For this group of exceptionally talented artists, being illustrators is all above expressing ideas, capturing a time and place, and much more. There are posters, packaging, and editorial for clients such as the Audubon Society, Adobe, Matson, and others.
"It was a great honor that the National Audubon Society asked me to interpret one of the many birds James Audubon has painted. I chose the Great Cormorant…." Martin Haake
"My favorite 2019 project is a wine label about wine grown at the foot of the Etna volcano in Sicily, where fire, air, earth, and water mix with its feminine energy." Stefano Vitale
"My favorite of 2019 is this poster for the Canandaigua Lakefront Art Show. Selected for inclusion: The Society of Illustrators LA." Chris Lyons
"I really enjoy trains and train travel, so this Christmas card for Matson was a favorite. A family at an urban tree lot as Matson carloads (of trees?) roll by." Robert Steele
"Hands down, my favorite piece of the year! How could I not love doing a painting of wine in a landscape!" Robert Crawford
"I’ve never been to Cuba, but this assignment for Monmouth University gave me an excuse to be immersed in the grand, crumbling, splendour of old Havana for just a short time." Dan Williams
"I always enjoy placing myself inside a scene while working on it, in this case, a cover for Harlequin. I was smelling the pine needles blanketing the pathway to a lakeside beach in Maine." Kim Johnson
"The client's brief was to stimulate discussion around women's rights, the environment, and artificial intelligence. It's always fun to work on such pertinent issues, drawing links among them and exploring the impact they have in today's society." Christiane Beauregard
"This was a fun illustration for Health magazine using traditional adversaries of a fox and hound showing love and making amends." Jacqui Langeland
"My favorite project of 2019 was a great experience all around. It was a thrill to attend the game and meet fans buying the posters in the pro shop at the stadium." Michael Korfhage
"My favorite 2019 assignment was a commission by Adobe Creative Cloud to make a tutorial about how to make an illustration with Illustrator CC." Tanguy Jestin
"This was a fun image to do. I wanted the focal point to be the bride, and even though only one of her eyes is visible, you can still see her happiness." Cannaday Chapman
"This spot illustration for Middlebury Magazine and accompanied a moving short story by Chris Santella about a young man choosing his own path. His mother did not approve of his choices nor his appearance. When she became ill, he gave her a very special, smooth present." Claudi Kessels
"My favorite project in 2019 was the picture book, Stonewall: A Building. An Uprising. A Revolution., written by Rob Sanders and published by Penguin Random House. In beautiful words and pictures, it commemorates the historic beginning of the LGBT Liberation Movement on this, the uprising's 50th anniversary. I never expected to see a book like Stonewall, much less be a part of it’s creation. Many of the cityscape studies that established the look of the book are in my portfolio section on Workbook– hope to get to tell more special stories in the new year!" Jamey Christoph
