By assigning himself eight New Yorker covers Steve Salerno challenged himself to create images that capture the current mood of the city as he observes the world around him.
“In years past I’ve had a number of my drawings appear on the inside pages of New Yorker magazine,” says Steve, “but thus far none of my drawings have appeared on the cover. But I still keep proposing my cover drawings.”
