Bruno Mallart is an award-winning Illustrator known for his distinctive visual language that brings static images to life. In Les Jardins de Baobabel, the artist has taken that sentiment to the next level, creating a dreamlike journey through the vegetal architectures of his imagination.
Les Jardins de Baobabel draws from several of the artist’s existing paintings, which were reinterpreted, recomposed, and reframed to create visual continuity between shots. The animation (result of a collaboration between Bruno and Louis Mallart) was created frame by frame, by hand using pencil drawings.
