Cade Martin’s latest series, The Faces of Cuba is both mysterious and truth-telling. Intently focused but with little visual context we are left to intently study these faces as we begin to gain a glimpse of these individuals’ rich personal histories. Cade says,”I was interested in making portraits of people enveloped with darkness, outside distractions quieted, where it is easy to be drawn into their eyes and personal narrative.
