Photographer/Director Cameron Karsten had the good fortune to join forces with Albertsons in his first campaign with the grocery store brand. Partnering with production company HyperionLA, together they produced a Memorial Day and Summer Fun extravaganza resulting in assets for web and in-store print. All of the action was shot over a period of five days in four different locations. Whew!
The full crew included acting talent, hair & makeup, wardrobe, prop, food stylists and his trusted local team including two assistants, Joe Elgar and Tatiana Vasly, and Logan Bingham for Digitech – all what you would imagine would be required for a lifestyle campaign of this size.
Other than a small earthquake while on set, the shoot went off without a hitch and was deemed a huge success. Since then, Cameron has completed two more projects with Albertsons, including a motion element, and he has two more on the calendar for this year. For Cameron, having returning customers is pure satisfaction, leading to stronger and more dynamic campaigns, with communication and collaboration deepening alongside mutual respect and friendship.
