Inspired by her trip to New York last year, Illustrator Zara Picken shared to Instagram her latest personal project, “City Signatures”. Zara wanted to create pieces that captured the spirit and feel of a place from a tourist’s point of view – impressions rather than just straightforward cityscapes. She added London and Paris as other iconic cities to explore the approach as a series, playing with abstract background shapes and vignettes, highlighting characters and landmarks.
