Filmmaker and photographer Corey Hendrickson will show his short documentary, Gathering Time, at the 21st annual Green Mountain Film Festival in Montpelier, Vermont, scheduled for March 16-24, 2018. It’s an observational documentary focusing on Meghan Stotko and Andy Paonessa as they produce wood-fired maple syrup to support their farmstead, Heartwood Farm, in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. They tap 1,200 trees and collect the sap in buckets, all by hand. With little dialogue and no narration, this observational documentary reveals the labor and landscape of this time-honored tradition.
