Photographer Jason Lindsey is featured in the exhibition “Our Place in the Scheme of Things,” held at the Richard F. Brush Art Gallery at St. Lawrence University from August 14 to October 9, 2024.
The show, which includes works by fifteen artists from the Eco.Echo Art Collective, examines humanity’s relationship with the environment through photography and video. Jason’s contributions, No. 15 and No. 24 from his personal and powerful “Cracks In the Ice” series, highlight the urgent themes of eco-anxiety and environmental degradation.
Jason’s “Cracks in the Ice” project was inspired by a conversation with his 15-year-old son, Björn, who asked about the future impacts of climate change. Realizing he couldn’t provide a clear answer, this project became a way for Jason to visually navigate and express the complex and unclear future shaped by climate change.
