Photographer and CGI Specialist Dale May brought his animation and CGI expertise to Oprah Daily’s “Favorite Things 2025,” transforming original photography by Ruvén Afanador into a fully photo-realistic snow globe scene. He recreated a pile of snow-dusted, gift-wrapped presents entirely in CGI, with the animation built from the final composite—no video footage required. Dale also designed and animated the 2025 Holiday “O” Logo, turning it into a green puffer coat “O” complete with a cashmere hat and red ribbon banner, perfectly balancing realism with playful charm. The project, a collaborative highlight with Peter Cury and the Oprah Daily creative team, seamlessly combined technical precision with festive holiday spirit.
