Photography/Director duo Tracy + David recently shot and directed a basketball-driven motion piece featuring BODYARMOR, rooted in repetition, intensity, focus, and the relentless pursuit of improvement.
As former athletes, those themes resonate deeply with them. Long before becoming photographers and directors, they spent years training, competing, and learning the value of discipline, resilience, and showing up day after day in pursuit of something better.
That same mindset continues to shape the way they approach their work, always chasing growth and pushing beyond what they’ve done before. As former photojournalists, they are drawn to stories that feel authentic and human – stories about commitment, perseverance, and the moments that reveal character. Whether they’re photographing athletes, adventurers, animal lovers, or everyday people, they’re always looking for the emotion and truth beneath the surface.
This project was an opportunity to explore those ideas through the lens of basketball: the quiet repetition, the intensity, the setbacks, the focus, and the drive to keep pushing forward.
Those are the stories they’re always chasing.
