Dynamic Visual Storytelling with Illustrator Veronika Kiriyenko

Posted on

Illustrator Veronika Kiriyenko was commissioned to create incredible artwork for four clients, each presenting their own unique challenges.

For AIDA Cruises, Veronika created a stunning, large-format editorial illustration capturing the vibrant atmosphere of life onboard. By balancing complex narrative moments with clean, symbolic details, her rich composition stays deeply engaging without feeling visually overwhelming.

For COOP Switzerland, Veronika’s double-page illustration, “Millennial World,” is a vibrant, hidden-object style spread packed with nostalgic pop culture references. Featuring an integrated, removable sticker sheet, the project masterfully balances bold editorial storytelling with interactive, contemporary design.

Veronika’s editorial illustration for the L.A. Affairs column in The Los Angeles Times accompanies the story of an unexpected encounter between former partners at an improv comedy show, exploring themes of timing, relationships and the unpredictability of life.

Last but certainly not least, Veronika transformed daily festival themes into playful visual stories for The Guardian’s Glastonbury presence. Navigating a tight production schedule, she built a highly flexible, recognizable visual language that scaled seamlessly across backpacks, on-site signage, printed guides, and massive event installations.
