Gail Armstrong is a London‑based illustrator whose signature practice transforms flat paper into richly dimensional artworks. Over her 25+ year career, she has developed a meticulous craft of cutting, embossing, folding and gluing paper to build intricate scenes, characters, architecture, typography or dioramas, that are then photographed and often refined digitally. What seems like a two‑dimensional illustration is in fact a sculpted scene, handcrafted from paper and brought to life with layered textures, precision and visual narrative, drawing in viewers for a closer look.
