For Washingtonian Magazine’s annual Top Doctors issue, Photographer Greg Kahn captured portraits of two surgeons, a neurologist, and a pediatrician, each at the top of their field. The assignment offered rare access into the spaces where these professionals operate at their highest level, from the bright intensity of operating rooms to the quiet moments of reflection before patient care. Kahn aimed to reveal not just their expertise, but also the calm confidence and humanity that define excellence in medicine.
