Greg Khan Captures a Coming of Age for Baltimore Magazine

Posted on

This past fall, photographer Greg Khan had the privilege of photographing a remarkable group of Baltimoreans for Baltimore Magazine’s December cover story, “Coming of Age.” The series highlights individuals redefining what it means to grow older—through powerlifting, activism, the arts, and community leadership. Their stories challenge outdated notions of aging, showing that purpose and passion don’t fade with time. Each portrait session was an intimate collaboration, designed to bring out the essence of each person’s journey.

Greg’s goal was to make each person feel comfortable, allowing their energy and personality to shine. Whether capturing Edie Brown’s relentless drive in the PR world at 91 or Jean Cushman’s unwavering activism at 75, the challenge was to translate their dynamism into a single frame.
