With backgrounds in sculpture and photography, Ben Lawrence and Sam Murray of HILT Projects work with an array of artists and designers to create highly conceptual, custom visual displays, photo sets, and props. Their collaboration began in 2008 when, as studio neighbors, Ben and Sam recognized their shared interest in developing fabrication techniques and exploring new materials. Since then, they’ve collaborated with an impressive list of clients including Hermes, Asprey, Parsons New School, Lalique, and others.
They’ve also created three-dimensional info graphics for clients like Green Point, Brooklyn (image above), editorial imagery for Money magazine, and collaborated on signage and logos for the New York Times Magazine and the ABC television show Extreme Kids.
Check out their site; you’ll see just how varied and highly original their work is and how exciting the intersection of ideas and their physical fabrication can be.
