Hugh Kretschmer Explores The Visual Metaphor.

In this latest photo exploration, Hugh Kretschmer took his inspiration from boardwalk chalk artists who create interactive drawings in public spaces that look 3D. In this case Hugh is reversing that outcome by making a 3-D collage look two-dimensional. His use of a “box” is a metaphor for both containment and as protection. He intends to continue to exploring the metaphor by applying it to other subject matter which will include environmental issues and other other subjects that require society’s commitment to preservation.
