Chelsea Ragan is an illustrator, baker, mother of two, and thrift store fanatic living in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Nestled in her Appalachian Mountain playroom/studio, Chelsea sketches, paints, and cuts paper for her creations. From her studio desk she watches hungry birds fight at the feeder, the mountain fog rolling in, and time standing still. After graduating from Maryland Institute College of Art with a MFA in multidisciplinary studies, she shifted her focus to grow a family.  After having two beautiful children, Chelsea found her artistic voice again by creating paper cut collages full of vintage nostalgia, vibrant colors and folk art. Her collages are made from hand-painted paper and love. Chelsea believes in creating art that you can see the artist’s hand in each piece, through the visible brush strokes and layered paper.

Miriam Dornemann is based in the German alps region. She has always been the crafty kid, but – coming out of school – decided to not choose a creative career in fear for loosing her hobby. What a mistake! After an administrative law detour she did change into a creative path, went back to school and started working in-house in one of the large German paper craft companies. Since then, hobby and work have perfectly merged. She changed into freelancing after having a child and living abroad. She now works as an illustrator on the American and the German (speaking) market. She loves living in the cultural melting pot of Europe, living “right around the corner” from Austria, Switzerland, France and even Italy. This mix of cultures and languages often influence her work. Miriam thinks that every good piece of art work should contain some kind of lettering or type. Oh, by the way, she even has an American High School Diploma from her year as an exchange student in the States.
