Carlos Lara has been an active illustrator since 1988, working  with various techniques, touching on many themes and styles. Carlos loves to illustrate because it is a way to have a dialogue with the texts and themes with which he works. For Carlos, illustration should be something more than an ornament; it should challenge the viewer and at the same time state a visual solution to a complex concept where the image serves to give light to a topic.

Susan I. Lugar doesn't remember a time when she didn't want to create something...anything.  She's always had ideas landing on some kind of paper; even a napkin!  Her goal is to create gentle landing spots via digital ink or watercolors; a soft place in this sometimes harsh world.  Designs in black and white often steal her attention with florals in mind.  They blossom and bloom in motion and fun! Surface pattern work and illustration provide frameworks for this gal who still may paint...just outside the lines!
