Illustrator Kathleen Fu Creates Board Game Illustrations for Safehaven

Posted on

Illustrator Kathleen Fu collaborated with creative agency The Local Collective to design the visual world of Where Hope Lives—a custom board game created by the charity Safehaven to promote disability awareness and inclusivity.

Designed to encourage honest, age-appropriate conversations about accessibility, the game guides players through real-world roadblocks and immersive seek-and-find challenges. Kathleen’s incredibly detailed, signature map illustration serves as the vibrant game board itself, while her playful spot illustrations bring the custom game pieces, playing cards, and spinner to life. It’s a beautiful example in using visual storytelling for social good.
