Donna Grethen was living in New York, working as a designer with a desire to illustrate. Now living in Berkeley, Donna still loves design, but she gets to work with traditional pen & ink, cut paper collage and digital media. Some of her clients include the New York Times, the Boston Globe, Hallmark, Papyrus, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Pfizer, Target, Little & Company, Martha Stewart Living, Notebook (AU), Harper San Francisco, Purina, Yoga Journal, Vegetarian Times, Family Circle, American Greetings, Meredith Corporation, Sagetopia, Virginia Poverty Law Center, and the Chicago Tribune/Tribune Media Services. Her work has appeared in the Society Of Illustrators annuals, 3x3, Communication Arts, and, when it was in print, Print magazine.
Victo Ngai is a New York-based illustrator from Hong Kong, who graduated from Rhode Island School of Design majoring in illustration. Victo is not a boy nor a typo but a nick-name from “Victoria”- a leftover from the British colonization. Apart from being a Forbes 30 Under (Art and Style) honoree and a Society of Illustrators NY Gold Medalist, her work has received recognition from the New York Times, Communication Arts, American Illustration, Spectrum, SOI NY, SILA, 3X3, Applied Arts and CMYK mag, Digital Artist UK, and many more. Victo’s biggest passions, beside drawing, are traveling and eating. She’s hoping that one day she will save up enough to travel around the world and sample all kinds of cuisine.

A graduate of the Art Center College of Design, John Taylor Dismukes began his career as an illustrator in Hollywood for clients in the music and entertainment industries. His original airbrush paintings have graced the covers of numerous albums for rock legends such as The Grateful Dead, Megadeath, Foreigner, and Steppenwolf. Other early works include posters for Star Wars, Mad Max, The Addams Family, Jurassic Park, and many other blockbuster films. John established JTD & Associates in 1985, just as computer technology was beginning to transform the industry. Mariusz Stawarski is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in GdaƄsk. In May 1990 he joined the Malbork Castle Museum, where he still works today running the art studio, designing exhibitions and preparing the graphic design of museum publications. In the mid-1980s he began to participate in international cartoon contests in Poland, Belgium, and Turkey. He has received many distinctions and awards, including the Grand Prix of Satyrykon ’98, Second Prize in 2014 and the Second Prize at Aydin Dogan Vakfi in Turkey in 2005. Between 1996 and 1999 he cooperated with the Wprost weekly as an illustrator. Together with Marek Stokowski he co-wrote the book Dreams for Adults and Children. In November 2006 he signed a contract with the New York-based illustration agency Lindgren & Smith.
Mark Kuerschner, aka KidMarkie, is an illustrator, designer, and custom car enthusiast. He spent a semi-reckless childhood dividing time between destroying and rebuilding bikes, skateboarding, and a lot of drawing. Following stints at several of Adelaide, South Australia’s finest ad agencies and design studios, good fortune or dumb luck took Mark to San Francisco, where after a couple of wide-eyed and slack-jawed years, he co-founded Popgun Design, a studio specializing in the hospitality, toy, and video game industries. Going solo in 2017, Mark's influences still include old mechanical and wheeled things, vintage illustration, and typography— and you're just as likely to find him under the hood of a 1950 Chevy Fleetline as behind a monitor or drawing on his iPad.
Caitlin Keegan is a New York-based illustrator and surface pattern designer. She has freelanced for about five years, previously working as a print and licensing designer at Sesame Workshop, and as a designer for Nickelodeon magazine. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and has been a guest illustration critic at MICA, UArts, SVA, and RISD.
James Gibbs studied illustration at Cardiff School of Art and Design. He works with a combination of bold, graphic illustrations (often with a splash of lettering for good measure) to create playful imagery inspired by the mid-century children’s adventure books and packaging. James currently lives and works in London and is represented by NB Illustration.

John Hogan arrived at children’s book illustration after a varied career, encompassing periods as a psychiatric nurse, a graphic designer, and a fine art painter. Although he received the best in arts training, he has a natural talent for art and design that was evident from a very young age, drawing constantly when  a boy rather, than being out with friends. His mum always said he would be an artist, and here he is, still drawing  40 years on! John produced realistic oil paintings for advertising, publishing, for national and international clients.  Clients include EA Games, Customs and Excise, Lancashire constabulary, Redrow, and Carnegie Hall.
