Jamey Christoph Creates a Sense of Place

Posted on

Jamey Christoph‘s skill as an illustrator allows us to experience a “feeling in the air” by establishing a sense of time and place. In the case of the assignment for Weill Cornell Hospital, it was his job to capture the “seven o’clock clap” that took place every night on the streets of New York, honoring the hard work and dedication of frontline care givers in New York City.

As is the norm, Jamey began with a series of sketches. The final version is an inclusive, life-affirming image: the residents of New York honoring all frontline care givers, giving their all for New York City and the nation.
