Not every production environment allows you to stop operations and build the perfect shot.
For Photographer Director Jamie Orillion, working alongside PHI Aviation was a great reminder that some of the best frames come from preparation, adaptability, and situational awareness. “I take a lot of pride in that flexibility… stepping into demanding situations, pivoting when needed, and still delivering beautiful imagery without getting in the way of the mission.”
This shoot was extremely specialized. The goal for this shoot was to showcase live operations on the flight line. Jamie had small windows, limited opportunities for redos, and no room to interfere with the work happening around him. Jamie came into this project with a nimble crew, ready to shift at a moment’s notice and respond to the environment as it unfolded, as seen in these video frames.
