We applaud photographer Jimmy Fishbein for his work in helping the largely misunderstood LGBT Community tell their stories, and in this series specifically, transgender women over age fifty. Through their personal struggles with an issue that most of us take for granted, these women have made significant contributions to ease the transitions for the generations of transgender people to follow. These portraits from his ongoing series capture the story of each of these women in a way that words alone can not do.
