Jody Horton and his team recently spent three days capturing the ins and outs of whiskey production at Bently Heritage. There are the beautifully restored brick buildings that house production, tasting rooms, and offices, 50,000 acres of farmland that produce all the grain, and an 8,000-barrel-capacity rick house, with a state-of-the-art climate-controlled environment that recreates the average temperature and humidity of a small village in Speyside, Scotland – in real time. It’s old world meets new, but with an earthy, authentic feel.
