Originally designed as counter programming to the Super Bowl, The Puppy Bowl is now in its 16th year and is wildly successful. It began as a sort of desperate attempt to come up with counter programming to The Super Bowl. The only thing executives thought might compete was a group of adorable puppies running around a mini football field. Since then, it has grown into a major event with millions of viewers and big sponsors in the form of Geico Puppy Bowl Stadium, which is covered with brand names like Pedigree and Petco, to name a few.

Photographer Keith Barraclough’s latest assignment involved spending 12 hours in a 12′ x 12′ room photographing 93 puppies for use by sponsors and media.
