Shelly Bartek
Shelly Bartek, having been influenced by Vincent Van Gogh, combines loose, moving, painterly strokes to create a unique, impressionistic art niche. Whether she paints a figurative theme or landscape, she makes each painting a source of energy, expressing a mood within a story. Her illustrations have been featured internationally in print campaigns and for the branding of leading corporations worldwide including the United Nations, Paramount Pictures, and Barton & Guestier Winery. Shelly is the founding artist for the Blue Moon Brewery’s national campaign. Following the theme of “Artfully Crafted,” you may see her art on trucks, building murals, magazine ads, table tents, YouTube, and television.

Paul Cox
Paul Cox’s approach over the years has changed in that he has become braver about reorganizing his subjects, architecture, and perspective in his topographical work to make the images more dynamic. However, the subjects of interest and his attitude haven’t changed. Why watercolor? Paul doesn’t work with a traditional watercolor technique. He works quite loosely, allowing the brushwork to define the drawing, leaving wet areas to introduce and mix new colours and tonal values. Due to the speed at which he generally works, the medium can convey a gestural response to a life situation and, at it’s best, can look fresh and luminous.
