Trudy Tran is a multidisciplinary artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Kennesaw State University and has continued to work on her practice ever since. Her work cultivates the exploration into a wide range of traditions, identities, and unique stories of different cultural groups. Through intertwining different styles and techniques, Trudy strives to utilize elements of storytelling and her love for nature in her pieces. Her artwork has become a vehicle for escape and observation, an opportunity to rekindle imagination, which has earned her a respectable client list and an avid following.

Sally Caulwell | Workbook portfolio

Sally Caulwell is an Irish-born, Dublin-based illustrator and designer. Sally’s digital style pairs a gentle textural aesthetic, with clean graphic lines.  Playing with geometry, she likes to distill things down into simple forms to communicate a concept. She is inspired by nature, with many of her illustrations featuring botanical or natural elements. Her work features balanced compositions which use repetition, pattern and color, making her a popular choice for Editorial Features, Book Covers and Product Design projects. 

Julian De Narvaez | Workbook portfolio

Julian De Narvaez is one of our most unusual artists, and not surprisingly his work is quite striking. He usually begins with pen and China ink, and then colors and manipulates the images using advanced digital techniques. Julian specialises in contemporary, eclectic illustrations that nonetheless convey a fine, traditional quality. This quirkiness has found success in many industries and formats.

Uran Duo | Workbook portfolio

Uran Duo is a talented illustrator couple based in China. They are passionate about life and storytelling, using their art to convey warmth and emotion. Specializing in digital techniques, Uran Duo creates vibrant characters, intricate textures, and engaging scenes that have garnered widespread acclaim. Their portfolio includes collaborations with globally renowned brands, editorial projects, and advertising campaigns.

When they’re not illustrating, Uran Duo enjoys hiking. Their encounters with nature and picturesque villages inspire their artwork, infusing it with rich emotions and creativity.

Ella Ginn | Workbook portfolio

Ella Ginn is an illustrator from the UK, who lives and works in Berlin, Germany. During her professional career, she has worked as an in-house illustrator for a London packaging design company. Here she honed her illustration/project management skills before going freelance. She now works on many different projects, including packaging, editorial, and publishing. As well as working on a wide range of subjects for international clients, she also enjoys working on her own projects, to further experiment and improve her craft.  

Ella also trained at London print studio, where she developed her printmaking skills in lino cutting, etching, and screen-print. These print techniques have heavily influenced her work and she can effectively recreate digital illustrations in these styles. 

Nick Hayes | Workbook portfolio

Nick Hayes is a freelance illustrator and author from the UK who specializes in a traditional art style that is both emotional and expressive in its content.  His digital linocut print art style imitates the traditional woodblock and linocut practices, while allowing ease for editing. His illustrations are a popular pick for the publishing and editorial sector, as they are both conceptual and traditional, making him a great choice for editorial magazines and book covers alike.
 
Nick’s two highly acclaimed books, Book Of Trespass (2021) & The Trespassers Companion (2022) highlight his deep passion for the conservation of natural areas and incorporate his bold and thoughtful art style. His illustrations celebrate his love for the outdoors and environmentalism, illustrating natural spaces and sustainability. Nick’s debut novel, The Book Of Trespass, dives into his love of nature, with a beautiful blend of his traditional linocut style and thoughtful words. 

Andrés Lozano | Workbook portfolio

Andrés Lozano is a Spanish Illustrator living in the UK. He uses a digital technique to create bold, characterful illustrations, which convey humor, heart and fun. His style is bright and complex, making him a popular choice for children’s publishing, advertising campaigns, editorial features and an array of projects with personality and charm at the core. His illustrations feature fun details that engage the viewer and keep them spotting something new every time. 
When Andrés isn’t in the studio illustrating,  he can be found creating murals and live illustrations-and is a talented painter.

Emanuel Wiemans | Workbook portfolio

Emanuel Wiemans is an Amsterdam-based illustrator, animator, and storyboard artist. He uses digital techniques and tools to replicate traditional methods, creating a portfolio full of vivid gouache and ink line art illustrations that retain their charm while allowing for the flexibility that a digital art style provides.  Emanuel’s digital illustrations and animations are contemporary in form but with vintage elements that make them visually dynamic. He creates bold, character-ful illustrations infused with a sense of humor while conveying a strong message for the brand or project. Emanuel’s clever compositions and concepts make him a top choice for editorial features, infographics, advertising campaigns, and publishing projects.

Gerhard Van Wyk | Workbook portfolio

Gerhard Van Wyk is an illustrator who is based in Cape Town, South Africa. He uses a mixture of techniques to create bright, textural illustrations with vivid characters, strong concepts and storytelling elements. Gerhard draws inspiration from all over, with nature and the outdoors being one of his main passions outside of illustration. Many of Gerhard’s illustrations are influenced by nature themes and exciting mythical and magical stories. Gerhard uses a restrictive color palette to ensure that his detailed illustrations remain informative and clear, making him a popular choice for editorial features and publishing projects.
 
As a conceptual thinker, he believes that the best ideas come about through the trinity of happiness. The trinity being riding a bicycle, sleeping in a tent and eating a chocolate sundae!

Daniel Tingcungco | Workbook portfolio

Daniel Tingcungco is an illustrator from Manila, currently based in Ho Chi Minh City. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant colors of everyday life, his work offers a fresh and captivating perspective on familiar places and subjects. His diverse portfolio spans print and publications, apparel, record albums, murals, and more—with each piece reflecting his love for exploration and cultural diversity. Daniel’s digital illustrations are designed to evoke the warmth and texture of traditional mediums like acrylic, gouache, and chalk, bringing depth and character to his work. Through his art, he celebrates the joy of travel, capturing the essence of local architecture, mouthwatering cuisine, and the small yet meaningful moments that make life unforgettable. 

Flora Bai is an illustrator based in NJ/NYC, with a background in Interior Architecture that influences her multidimensional art style. She graduated from SVA’s MFA Illustration as Visual Essay program in 2021 and began her professional career. Flora’s work features intricate lines and combines digital color with hand-drawn elements, blending different mediums to express her inner world and tell stories.
Debbie Powell graduated in 2007 with a degree in Illustration from The Arts Institute Bournemouth. Silkscreen printing, collage and painting along with a strong discipline of pen and pencil drawing, all play a part in creating Debbie’s imagery. She is influenced by African textiles and natural organic shapes, as well as everyday objects she sees on her day-to-day travels. She is also inspired by Ancient Egyptian jewelry and currently co-designs a handmade jewelry range with her sister called Rah and Rah.
With over 30 years of experience, Steve Simpson is renowned for his hand lettered packaging design, whimsical characters and illustrated barcodes. His distinctive style, inspired by the arts and crafts movement, 50s advertising and folk art, has appeared on everything from a 1” postage stamp to a 200ft screen in Times Square. His work has adorned whiskey bottles and cough bottles, boardgames and board rooms, hot sauces and ceramic saucers.
Linda Nye has been providing technology visualization for annual reports, books, journals, education materials, advertising, and the web pages for biomedical, pharmaceutical, computer and aerospace clients since the 1980s. She has won many awards from the Society of Illustrators, AMI, Print Magazine, and the Rx Club and has served on numerous boards, including the Society of Illustrators and the International Aerospace Hall of Fame. She has also lectured on visualization at Johns Hopkins and the Mayo Clinic.
Marisa Aragón Ware is a professional illustrator based in Colorado. Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Marisa garnered her deep appreciation of nature from a childhood spent enveloped in the forests and glades of the Rocky Mountains. Those formative experiences heavily influence both her art and outlook, and she strives to depict the beauty of the natural world to help others connect with its abundant primordial magic.
