Maria Francesca Melis is an Italian illustrator, graphic designer, and multidisciplinary creative based in New Zealand. Her work is heavily influenced by medical and botanical vintage illustrations. The plant and the floral world is an omnipresent decorative element of her art, inspired by vivid memories of her childhood spent in close contact with nature and animals. The tradition of Sardinian decorative art is a fundamental component to her work and research. She often uses representations of clothes and fabrics that recall ancient embroideries and textures of the rich cultural heritage of the island she comes from.

Flora Bai is an illustrator based in NJ/NYC, with a background in Interior Architecture that influences her multidimensional art style. She graduated from SVA’s MFA Illustration as Visual Essay program in 2021 and began her professional career. Flora’s work features intricate lines and combines digital color with hand-drawn elements, blending different mediums to express her inner world and tell stories.
Debbie Powell graduated in 2007 with a degree in Illustration from The Arts Institute Bournemouth. Silkscreen printing, collage and painting along with a strong discipline of pen and pencil drawing, all play a part in creating Debbie’s imagery. She is influenced by African textiles and natural organic shapes, as well as everyday objects she sees on her day-to-day travels. She is also inspired by Ancient Egyptian jewelry and currently co-designs a handmade jewelry range with her sister called Rah and Rah.
With over 30 years of experience, Steve Simpson is renowned for his hand lettered packaging design, whimsical characters and illustrated barcodes. His distinctive style, inspired by the arts and crafts movement, 50s advertising and folk art, has appeared on everything from a 1” postage stamp to a 200ft screen in Times Square. His work has adorned whiskey bottles and cough bottles, boardgames and board rooms, hot sauces and ceramic saucers.
Linda Nye has been providing technology visualization for annual reports, books, journals, education materials, advertising, and the web pages for biomedical, pharmaceutical, computer and aerospace clients since the 1980s. She has won many awards from the Society of Illustrators, AMI, Print Magazine, and the Rx Club and has served on numerous boards, including the Society of Illustrators and the International Aerospace Hall of Fame. She has also lectured on visualization at Johns Hopkins and the Mayo Clinic.
Marisa Aragón Ware is a professional illustrator based in Colorado. Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Marisa garnered her deep appreciation of nature from a childhood spent enveloped in the forests and glades of the Rocky Mountains. Those formative experiences heavily influence both her art and outlook, and she strives to depict the beauty of the natural world to help others connect with its abundant primordial magic.
