Andrew Archer has been working as an illustrator since 2006. Originally a graphic designer, he realized 80 percent of his "design" was actually illustration. He grew up with pens and paint, but then the personal computer took over, which is reflected in his work. He uses a healthy mix of both traditional and digital techniques with no real preference of medium. He is greatly inspired by surrealism, juxtapositions, and sublime narratives but more specifically wood block prints, eco period art, cartoons, ideograms, travel, and Asia. He works in editorial, advertising, movies, and more. He also has had the opportunity to work with a lot of lovely people who continue to inspire and support him in what he does.
