Illustrator Luisa Jung was commissioned by Dr. Alberto Espay and Benjamin Stecher to illustrate the cover and 15 chapters of their book: Brain Fables: The Hidden History of Neurodegenerative Diseases and a Blueprint to Conquer Them, published by Cambridge University Press. Each chapter illustration depicts a specific stage in the researcher’s journey as they expose the faults in the way neurodegenerative brain disorders have been researched and treated so far.
The project has been shortlisted for the V&A Illustration Awards as one of 10 finalists in the book illustration category. The winners will be announced mid July.
