Photographer Gary Salter captured this portrait remotely the middle of lockdown for the UK "Stay at Home Heroes” campaign. By couriering the talent a laptop and camera, Gary was able to recon the location, instruct the talent in laptop set up, camera placement, and lighting, as well as go through the propping and wardrobe. Once everything was in place, he directed in real time via Zoom from his office fifteen miles away and shared his screen with the client in a third location who provided live feedback. As Gary says, "Love these challenges!"
In need of a project and a recharge, photographer Chris Jameson traveled to what he calls his "happy place," the North Shore of Oahu. It's a location he's been lucky to return to over the years and has built strong relationships there. The talent for this shoot are all friends and friends of friends shot against one of the most beautiful environments in the world. He returned home rejuvenated and with a beautiful new library of imagery.
Photography and CGI environments are two of the specialties of Alice Blue. This campaign for Experis is a perfect example of their precise, unified process. Building the the scene involves measurements, camera and lens settings - type and length, camera angles, and of course, matched lighting and integration. The results make you question whether anything is impossible.
