muse/myo͞oz/
Whether in the form of a verb or a noun, the word muse often finds its way into the life of an artist. For photographer Margaret Lampert, musing about making pictures often absorbs more time and energy than picture-making itself.
Several years ago Margaret met someone who become a muse for her. She is also an artist, making their collaboration all the more layered and productive. She tell us “With her I am able to make pictures that are a departure from the way I might normally approach my subjects. There is a dreaminess and a quiet when we work together; qualities I always look for, wait for, but here somehow take on an otherworldly aura.”
