Illustrator Mariaelena Caputi recently lent her talents to an article in The Economist titled, “Tales of Odessa.”
The assignment had Caputi capture Odessa’s current state as its identity, its polyphony, and its freedom are threatened by its own officials and a small but aggressive group of activists.
