Illustrator Mark Summers revealed on ongoing personal project, using the art of scratchboard to honor the art of silent movie stars. All created by hand, Mark started this series and just for fun, but he hopes it will become a book. While there are some familiar faces, Mark’s primary focus is on the many silent stars who achieved world fame and then instantly vanished,“there are literally hundreds of them.” It’s an homage to an era long past, with an unsung style of artistry that is kindred in its dedication to craft.
