In the Coachella Valley, the noble sport of polo belongs to everyone. In his latest personal project, Markku Lahdesmaki captures the traditions associated with the sport, but also the intimate relationship between the horse and the rider, the communication between the teammates, and all the preparations behind the scene.
His subjects were more than willing to open up to Markkku’s lens as he wandered the fields and stables making friends along the way.
