What interestsĀ Jim HughesĀ is our differences. It is our differences that make us human. It is our connection to each other that makes our humanity.Ā Jim is fascinated with how our perspectives on life and each other are shaped and influenced by the different ways we live, experience, and relate to the world. We need to approach life through an exploratory lens of human connection and empathy, one void of judgment and misconceptions. The camera provides us a window into our differences and helps breakdown the barriers of misunderstanding that divide us. With each shot,Ā Jim aims to provide an alternate viewpoint from the familiar. It is from here a new realization can take hold, our commonality is more prominent than our differences. It is from this new place of origin that we may share our life stories with bold and beautiful honesty.
From San Francisco to Shanghai and everywhere in-between, Jim, an experienced advertising photographer and director along with his technically skilled team, travels the globe, for clients such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise, United Airlines, AT&T, GE Healthcare, Wells Fargo, and Visa International consistently creating powerful and award-winning images that connect us to the human experience and allow us to see a bit of ourselves in each other.
