Sara Forrest’s career as a photographer first took root on the great plains of Kansas, her home state. Using her mom’s 35mm Nikon, she began creating documentary projects about local residents and ways of life, soon discovering she had a knack for connecting with people and a passion for telling their stories honestly and artfully. These days, Sara splits her time between Texas and Washington state and works with some of the most talented and buttoned-up production teams in the country, shooting lifestyle image libraries for global brands. Her work takes her far and wide, from the Patagonian wilderness to the rooftops of Cape Town and the beaches of Rio. She has photographed refugee farmers working in Kansas, yoga instructors in Malibu, car campaigns on the streets of Austin, nonprofit projects in Ethiopia and snorkeling in the Keys.
