Photographer R. Brad Knipstein recently collaborated with three designers for this year’s San Francisco Decorator Showcase. R. Brad is no stranger to the event, shooting with them since 2013. This year, designers Aubrey Maxwell, Jeffery Neve, and Peruri reached out to R. Brad. R. Having worked with all three designers before (including various editorial features for Architectural Digest and WSJ) , he already had a shorthand with each designer to help elevate each decorated space on camera. The resulting images explode each project making the rooms feel larger than life, with R. Brad pointing out stunning details with his lens that really chelps set each designer apart, but equally reveres their respective artistry and imagination.
Though years in with SFDC, R. Brad still finds new excitement each season brings. “I look forward to the transformation of the home and the variety of design choices from space to space. It’s interesting to see so many different takes on design as you walk through the home. There is a great deal of effort and planning from all the contractors and fabricators as well as the designers. I feel this year there was a more harmonious transition from room to room compared to other years.”
