Renee Rhyner’s Award-Winning Illustrators Found at Workbook

This group of illustrators from The Renee Rhyner Group is both playful and sophisticated. They work within a range from simple black-and-white line drawing to collage and highly graphic styles. Their work  has appeared in publications such as the New Yorker; Time, Inc., the New York Times, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Newsweek, Health O, The Oprah Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, Reader’s Digest, Working Mother, Elle, Glamour, Garden & Gun, AARP, Field & Stream, National Geographic, Golf, Ski, Premiere, and Think Money.

 

Juliette Borda has created paintings for hundreds of publications, corporations, publishers and institutions, such as The New Yorker; Time, Inc; The New York Times; Esquire; Rolling Stone; Newsweek; Health; Oprah; Martha Stewart; Girl Scouts USA; Coke Femsa; and Penguin Books, among many other national and int’l clients. Her work has been recognized by American Illustration, Communication Arts, Society of Illustrators, and Art Director’s Club NY, received medals from Society of Illustrators NY and LA; and is in the collection of the Carnegie MoA. Her work was included in the show Comic Release: Negotiating Identity for a New Generation (Regina Gouger Miller Gallery); & hung alongside Kara Walker’s work. Born in Canada, illustrator Geoffrey Henning is the man behind the art, the man behind the style, the man behind the creativity. This multi-talented design and style editor is also the VP of Women’s Design at JCPenney’s. Geoffrey honed his craft at the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a bachelor of fine arts and three dimensional design and a minor in fashion. His illustrations have appeared in Elle, Vogue, and Flare Magazine. He also sits on multiple art boards including the Parsons School of Design board of directors. Geoffrey has also contributed to multiple TV makeover segments as seen on The Today Show and the Lifetime channel.  
Janet Allinger is a professional graphic designer and illustrator based in Santa Cruz, California. Janet got her start at a young age working at an automotive “job shop” for General Motors. She credits working on technical manuals and drawing various parts/sections of cars with helping her perfect her technical skills as an illustrator. With 16+ years of experience, Janet is now a sought-after designer and illustrator creating logos, illustrations, ad layouts, corporate identities, newsletters, brochures, packaging & more for a wide variety of clients.  
With over 20 years experience, Randall Watson is an illustrator based in Vancouver, BC Canada. His brilliant portraits and illustrations can be found in the pages of Garden & Gun, AARP, Field & Stream, National Geographic, Golf, Ski, Premiere, Think Money and Institutional Investor among others.  
Carolyn Ridsdale is an award-winning illustrator noted for her distinctive photographic collages. She takes elements from the printed matter that surrounds us, re-arranges them and feeds them back into the same medium giving a constant contemporary feel to her images. Well known for bringing a humorous twist to even the driest of subjects, and for both illuminating and illustrating the text with original and intelligent insights of her own, Ridsdale’s clients include Heineken, Saatchi & Saatchi, Readers Digest, Working Mother and MORE among many others.  
Emma Cowlam is a multi-award winning design graduate of Chelsea School of Art in London and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Her career launched with a sell out collection of fashion illustrations at London’s iconic V&A museum. She has gone on to collaborate with world renowned fashion magazines including Elle and Glamour, as well as a myriad of luxury brands such as Radley and Liberty of London. Her unique fashion illustrations hang in private art collections worldwide and her talent receives global critical acclaim both in the world of fine art and the famous fashion glossies. Emma takes inspiration for her refined and beautiful illustrations from the everyday images observed throughout her fashionable life. Her work is sophisticated, stylish, elegant and aspirational. She is endlessly influenced by traditional fashion illustrations yet draws with a contemporary, realistic twist. Sartorial style stories stitched and inked.
