Shelly Waldman’s latest story focuses on meat, both cooked and raw. Meat is not the easiest thing to get right, but this shoot, with it’s beautiful styling and lighting, makes it work. Together with stylist Jessica Boone, Shelly gathered props to create a monochromic palette that would enhance the warm tones and texture of the meat. But as they were setting up the scene for the rib shot, they noticed the flip side of the board was a beautiful teal color that felt like summer and decided to go with it and add a pop of color. They added in a beer or two to give the shot the feeling of a friendly get-together.
