Photographer Nina Babel worked on a fun and lighthearted assignment with the BuzzFeed team—shooting portraits at their industry conference. The activation was a nod to one of BuzzFeed’s most beloved formats: Celebs with Puppies—but this time, the spotlight was on their clients.
The setup was simple but striking: a cozy, well-lit portrait setup that invited guests to take a break from the conference chaos and jump in front of the camera for a few playful quick portrait snaps with puppies. No pressure, just good energy, quick portraits, and a lot of laughter.
Nina says working with BuzzFeed’s creative team is always a blast, and this shoot was no exception. It blended editorial-style photography with event spontaneity—her favorite combo. The goal was to capture genuine moments, make people feel like stars for a few minutes, and give them something fun to take home (or, more likely, post).
