Cade Martin is a talented and versatile photographer with a body of work that ranges from authentic lifestyle and portraiture to the whimsical and fantastic. The image we selected for the cover skews more towards cinematic fantasy, but in fact was shot all in-camera, not in post production, and on location with the use of movie lighting. It was originally shot for Starbuck’s Creative Director, Daniele Monti who was looking to brand their new Tazo Tea with “something in between a modern Alice in Wonderland and an iconography that pulls from different eras, places, and cultures.” It also happens to be a good representation of Cade’s larger body of conceptual work.
