Illustrator Stina Persson created 7 pieces for the United Nations Population Fund’s (UNPFA) recent 2025 report on the crisis of reproductive agency as part of their larger State of World Population Report. Her artwork accompanies standout statistics which highlight choice, government overreach, and family planning uncertainty. Her use of silhouettes allow the subjects of her art serve as placeholders for every body. Her contrasts of color alludes to the duality of choice in today’s reproductive climate. Timely and poignant, this report sheds light on what childbirth looks like in the world today, and Stina’s illustrations capture both the beauty and harsh reality of it all.
