Photographer Nate Ryan teamed up with apparel brand Fanatics to promote their collaboration with Nike and the launch of their Tech Fleece branded line across all MLB, NFL, and NCAA Division 1 teams.
The concept evolved from rough client moodboards, with Nate creating his own to balance common fitness looks with more fashion-forward, streetwear-inspired styling. The final campaign struck a perfect harmony between athletic and fashion influences, both in styling and lighting. With six products and four models to shoot at Progear Chicago’s studio, Nate’s tightly planned schedule kept the fast-paced day on track, minimizing wardrobe changes while maximizing variety. A pre-light setup was essential, allowing for in-camera foreground effects that complemented the colorful background and dynamic lighting for each sports league. The result is a modern look that feels versatile beyond the gym.
