On his way through Southern Maryland, Baltimore photographer Brian Schneider noticed something from the road and stopped to investigate. It was then and there he discovered the the Lawnmower Racers, who later became the subject of the print promotion you see here and which won Brian one of several Baltimore Addys this year.
Participants range in age from 16 to 72, and although there is no money involved, they are an avid bunch that race their hearts out in these customized, souped-up vehicles. There are even sponsored, various class events in which to participate. And it’s growing nationwide!
