CABARET POSTER

Raymond Bonilla is first and foremost a painter, with deep roots in the Impressionists. He is a also a teacher at the State University of New York at Fredonia, where his figurative drawing and painting skills are regularly put to good use for the Walter Gloor Mainstage stage poster series, for which he has been creating imagery for the past four years.  His latest (above) is for the production of Cabaret. As the theatre department pretty much leaves the creative direction up to Raymond, they are some of his best works, and not surprisingly, many of the these images have gone on to win awards and recognition  from the Society of Illustrators and Communication Arts magazine and other competitions. Below are examples from previous seasons, in descending  order: Rent, Hair, MacBeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and The Shape of Things.  To see all the posters from the series, go to to his website.
